Skyride Experience
Take in the Olympic Jumping Complex, no ski jumping required!
The Skyride Experience offers a unique and unforgettable way to visit the Olympic Jumping Complex and take in stunning views of Lake Placid. Your journey begins with a scenic gondola ride, offering a bird’s-eye view of the landing hill as you travel up to the base of the ski jumps. From there, a short walk leads you to an elevator that takes you to the top of the HS128-meter jump. At the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Placid and the Adirondack Mountains and step onto the outdoor observation deck and get a unique perspective of what it’s like to jump the HS128.
After returning to the base of the ski jumps, step onto the coach’s deck for an up-close look at the HS100 and HS128 jumps. You’ll see where athletes transition from frost rail to flight and gain a unique perspective on this Olympic sport.
Even better? The Skyride Experience is included with the Lake Placid Legacy Sites Passport, a savings tool for those looking to experience all of the Lake Placid Legacy Sites.

Sky Flyer Zipline
Add a dose of adrenaline with the Sky Flyer Zipline!
For those looking to take their experience to the next level, the Sky Flyer zipline offers a thrilling ride that mimics the sensation of ski jumping. The Sky Flyer Zipline begins with the Skyride Experience, which transports you to the base of the ski jumps where the zipline begins. Following the path of the HS 100-meter jump, you’ll reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour giving you a taste of what it feels like to soar like an Olympian!
Ride Requirements
- Guest must be at least age 10 (or older).
- Guest must be at least 52″ tall, and min 50 lbs.
- Guest must be no taller than 80″, and max 250 lbs.
- Guest must be able to climb 5 flights of stairs.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
The Sky Flyer Zipline is a high-speed ride. For your protection, this ride is not recommended for guests with head, neck, or back injuries, recent surgery, heart trouble, high blood pressure, heart conditions, or guests who are pregnant.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind, athlete-led tour of the Olympic Jumping Complex! Start your adventure with a scenic ride on the Skyride Gondola (ticket required) to the base of the HS128 jump. From there, follow your athlete guide to the Coach’s Deck, where the views—and the stories—are unforgettable.
Then, watch the sport come to life! While one athlete continues the narration, another will demonstrate a live ski jump. This unique experience is not to be missed.
